If this is your first time at Crossroads, we want you to enjoy worship without any sense of obligation. In lieu of giving an offering, please tap the button to fill out our Guest Communication Card.
When you give, we have the ability to share God's love with communities here and around the world in a greater capacity. We believe the local church is the hope of the world, therefore we support its life-changing efforts with our finances.
God Helps Those Who Help Themselves - Lead Pastor Craig White
WHO DOES GOD HELP?
Romans 8:1-3 NLT So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. 3 The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
God helps those who realize they can’t help themselves.
HOW DOES GOD’S HELP WORK?
Revelation 3:20 NKJV Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
God helps people who open the door.
Exodus 2:23, 25 During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.
Matthew 7:7-8 Ask and it will be given...
Exodus 17:9 And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.”
WHAT we pray isn’t as big as WHO we pray to.
Ephesians 3:20a Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine
• OUR ULTIMATE HELP
Ephesians 3:20b according to his power that is at work within us
Jesus clearly stated He did not come to bring religion, rules or rituals, but that we might have life to the full (John 10:10). At Crossroads you can come as you are and that doesn’t just mean what you wear on the outside; it also includes the inside. You can come with your pain, guilt, and past mistakes and find healing, grace, and hope for the future.
Have questions that need answering? Need prayer support? Something else? Contact us and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
