If this is your first time at Crossroads, we want you to enjoy worship without any sense of obligation. In lieu of giving an offering, please tap the button to fill out our Guest Communication Card.
When you give, we have the ability to share God's love with communities here and around the world in a greater capacity. We believe the local church is the hope of the world, therefore we support its life-changing efforts with our finances.
Close the Door - Lead Pastor Craig White
Ephesians 6:12 NLT
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Romans 8:6 NLT
So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
What is that one weakness, bad habit, rotten attitude? Where does the devil have a stronghold on you? Ahh, there is the word that fits–stronghold–fortress, citadel, thick walls, tall gates. It’s as if the devil has fenced in one negative attribute, one bad habit, one weakness and constructed a rampart around it. “You ain’t touching this flaw,” he defies to heaven and he places himself squarely between God’s help and your: __[insert stronghold here]_______.
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 ESV
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.
Messed up thinking = Messed up life
HOW TO TEAR DOWN STRONGHOLDS
• CHANGE YOUR WEAPONS
2 Corinthians 10:3
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. strateia (strat-i'-ah); military warfare, fighting with guided strategy
2 Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
• CHANGE YOUR MIND
Romans 12:2 NLT
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
• CHANGE YOUR MOUTH
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 ESV
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
Jesus clearly stated He did not come to bring religion, rules or rituals, but that we might have life to the full (John 10:10). At Crossroads you can come as you are and that doesn’t just mean what you wear on the outside; it also includes the inside. You can come with your pain, guilt, and past mistakes and find healing, grace, and hope for the future.
